I just read the first issue of A.R.K. From Fracture Comics. Fantastic read, It is a mash up of a bunch of my favorite things. Comics, manga and cyber punk. The art is kinetic and keeps up with the action packed story. The book is efficient, makes very good use of limited pages to open a compelling first arc. A story set in the not too distant future charges our heroine with saving the world from an evil corporation how relevant to the times. Mikayla narrowly escapes some pretty bad ass looking robot guards, and says good bye telepathically to some one close to her. She seeks help with a former love interest. This new character has had a fall from grace and is reluctant as Mikayla dashes off into the night to make her next move . You can pick up a volume of the book over here http://www.fracturecomics.com/.
